Hi, I'm Ross and I'm obsessed with the Scottish outdoors. It was back in early 2011 that I started my outdoor and hillwalking obsession. While out mountain biking in Arrochar, I suddenly realised just how beautiful the scenery was and that I felt a great urge to explore those rocky mountains at a slower pace on foot.
I had always loved the outdoors but never truly embraced the passion until that day. My dad had been a keen hillwalker for years and I even visited family and friends from Glenelg in the Highlands and Isle of Skye a lot when I was younger but never really appreciated the beauty of this bonnie wee country until I started hillwalking.
So from that day on, with the help of Walkhighlands.com and Ralph Storer's 100 Best Routes on Scottish Mountains book gifted from my dad, I had everything I needed to start this long obsession. I've been hooked ever since, adding to my Munro tally and documenting it on here whenever I can.
As well as hillwalking, I also enjoy mountain biking, camping, climbing and occasionally snowboarding when we have the weather for it. Which is about half the year now, these days!
